The company’s operations include designing, developing, sourcing, marketing, and selling products for infants (0–1 year), toddlers (2–6 years), and older children (7–14 years). The product lineup features t-shirts, shirts, jackets, sweaters, clothing sets, dungarees, rompers, partywear, dresses, denim, lowers, trousers, jeggings, skirts, and footwear, including shoes, ballerinas, slides, flip-flops, and sandals. The company states that it has a strong distribution network that includes 17 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs), multiple shop-in-shop formats, and a decent online presence. Customers can shop through the official website, mobile app, and leading e-commerce platforms like Myntra, Amazon, Flipkart, FirstCry, Nykaa, Hopscotch, AJIO, and others.
As of July 20, 2024, Purple United operates 17 EBOs under the “Purple United Kids” brand across five states and 10 cities in India. Additionally, it has 20 shop-in-shops and collaborates with 44 distributors across the country.
The brand’s portfolio in FY24 featured around 650 styles, including 400 in apparel and 250 in footwear.
The company has seen a consistent increase in revenue from operations. Revenue from operations increased from Rs 16.52 crore in FY22 to Rs 25.69 crore in FY23 to Rs 42.77 crore in FY24.
A significant portion of the company's retail revenue comes from the National Capital Region (NCR). The NCR region contributed Rs 9.20 crore (12.25%), Rs 3.35 crore (13.05%) and Rs 2.02 crore (21.51%) in FY24, FY23, and FY22, respectively to the total revenue from operations. Any adverse changes in the business environment of the region could impact the company's performance and finances.
There are certain ongoing legal cases involving the company and its directors. Any adverse judgements in any of these cases could be detrimental to the company’s business prospects.
