Risks
Ken Enterprises exports regular and sustainable greige and finished fabrics to over 10 countries.
The company is an approved vendor for leading international brands, including ZARA (Inditex Group), Target, and Primark.
The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified for quality management systems.
The company is also certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), and Better Cotton Initiative Platform (BCI-Mass Balance), among others.
With an in-house manufacturing capacity of 145 lakh square metres per year in Maharashtra, the company claims that it can expand production without additional capital investment.
The company has seen a consistent increase in revenue from operations and profit after tax (PAT). Revenue from operations increased from Rs 354.80 crore in FY22 to Rs 363.96 crore in FY23 to Rs 402.21 crore in FY24. PAT increased from Rs 2.36 crore in FY22 to Rs 3.95 crore in FY23 to Rs 8.93 crore in FY24.
Ken Enterprises relies on third-party manufacturers for production on a job-work basis. The company's operations are majorly dependent on the performance and reliability of these manufacturers. Any adverse changes in the manufacturers’ performances could negatively impact the company's operations.
All operations are concentrated in Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Any local disruptions, such as social unrest or natural disasters, could negatively impact business and financial performance.
The company's promoters are involved in ongoing legal proceedings. Any adverse judgments in any of these cases could be detrimental to the company’s business prospects.
The company exports products to multiple international markets, with South Korea being the largest contributor. South Korea accounted for Rs 62.95 crore (79.78%) as of November 30, 2024, and Rs 72.71 crore (76.63%), Rs 57.10 crore (66.63%), 71.96 crore (68.77%) of the total export revenue in FY24, FY23, and FY22 respectively. Heavy reliance on exports and exposure to international market risks may adversely impact the company’s business operations and financial performance.
The company’s revenue is entirely derived from the sale of regular and sustainable greige fabrics. Any shift in market preferences or a decline in product demand could negatively affect the company’s business.
As of January 15, 2025, the company has outstanding borrowings totalling Rs 41.96 crore. Any inability to service these loans could harm the company’s financial position.
