Kataria Industries has made investments in real estate. This investment generates steady rental income. The company acquired two commercial properties in Surat and Vadodara, Gujarat, in January and April 2023, respectively.
The company is an approved supplier for various government and commercial projects for sectors, including infrastructure, roads, bridges, flyovers, metro systems, railways, high-rise buildings, atomic reactors, LNG tanks, and power transmission and distribution lines.
Kataria Industries' manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified for quality management systems.
The company serves both domestic and international customers. For the period ending December 31, 2023, and FY23 and FY22, export revenue accounted for 3.61%, 2.63%, and 5.68% of total revenue, respectively. Export destinations include Dubai, Qatar, Nepal, Iran, Oman, Bahrain, and Brazil.
There has been consistent growth in the company's revenue from operations and profit after tax (PAT). Revenue from operations increased from Rs 158.67 crore in FY21 to Rs 249.63 crore in FY22 and further to Rs 331.83 crore in FY23, while PAT increased from Rs 5 crore in FY21 to Rs 7.38 crore in FY22 and Rs 7.78 crore in FY23.
The company, including its promoters, directors, and group companies, is engaged in various litigation proceedings. Any negative judgments in these cases could have materially adverse outcomes for the company.
The top 10 suppliers accounted for 96.37% of total supplies in FY22, 93.42% in FY23, and 91.68% during the period ending December 31, 2023. If supplies from one or more of these sources are compromised, it could pose a risk to the company’s business.
Kataria Industries has various credit facilities from HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank Limited, totalling Rs 59.47 crore. These facilities come with certain restrictive covenants that could impact the company. Any inability to service or repay these loans on time will hurt the company’s business.
The company has unsecured loans from promoters, directors, and their relatives that are repayable on demand. Any repayment demand for these loans, worth Rs 23.65 crore as of December 31, 2023, could adversely affect the company's liquidity and business operations.
