The Indian market has continued in its upward motion, with benchmark Sensex resolutely regaining the 80,000 milestone earlier this week. This up move was the best close so far for Sensex and Nifty in the year 2025. Strong recent rally added substantially to the wealth of investors to the tune of ₹36.65 lakh crore in just seven sessions, where Sensex jumped over 8%. This optimistic momentum has been credited to positive results from recent IT industry performance and positive forward-looking commentary.

Key Stocks in Focus

LTIMindtree has reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,128.5 crore for Q4 FY25, a 3.97% sequential increase over the December 2024 quarter's ₹1,085.4 crore. It increased 2.6% year-on-year. Revenue was up 1.1% at ₹9,771.7 crore, with Ebit margins remaining unchanged at 13.8%. The board also declared a final dividend of ₹45 for FY25.

Bajaj Housing Finance registered a massive 53.8% year-on-year jump in net profit to ₹586.7 crore in Q4 FY25 from ₹381 crore in the same period last year. The increase marks robustness in the housing loan book. Net total income for the quarter increased 34% to ₹958 crore.

Tata Consumer Products recorded its consolidated net profit increasing by 59.18% year on year to ₹344.85 crore in Q4 FY25, from ₹216.63 crore. This increase is on the back of improved demand and enhanced margins for both food and beverage businesses. Revenue increased by 17.3% YoY to ₹4,608.2 crore. The firm has declared a dividend of ₹8.25 per share for FY 2024-25.

Biocon's board has approved raising up to ₹4,500 crore in various instruments such as equity shares, non-convertible debt, and warrants through channels like qualified institutional placements, rights issues, or private placements. This step is expected to fund future growth projects. 

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has collaborated with GPS Renewables to set up compressed biogas plants in the country, in line with its clean energy agenda and India's energy transition. 

Adani Green Energy: A subsidiary of Adani Green Energy has entered a Power Purchase Agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for procuring 1,250 MW of energy storage capacity through pumped hydro storage projects.

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank had registered a net profit of ₹291.90 crore in the quarter January-March 2025, an increase from the ₹253.06 crore of the same period previous year, backed by growth in core lending as well as deposits. 

Rallis India registered a net loss of ₹32 crore in Q4 FY25, larger than last year's ₹21 crore loss, while revenues were close to flat at ₹430 crore. 

Syngene International reported a 3% dip in consolidated net profit at ₹183 crore for the March quarter, despite a rise in total income to ₹1,037 crore.

Dalmia Bharat reported a 37.18% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹439 crore for Q4 2024-25, helped by cost efficiency measures, although revenue saw a 5% decline.

Bajaj Finance: The board of Bajaj Finance will meet on April 29 to discuss proposals for a special interim dividend for FY25, a stock split, and issue of bonus shares, along with financial performance. The outcome of this meeting is expected to draw market interest.

A large number of firms are due to announce their March 2025 quarter financials today, putting their stocks in the limelight. Major names are Hindustan Unilever, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, Nestle India, SBI Life Insurance Company, and Persistent Systems. The long list also includes ACC Ltd, Cyient, IEX, L&T Technology Services, Laurus Labs, Mphasis, SBI Card, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy, Waaree Technologies, Macrotech Developers, Adani Energy Solutions, and Supreme Industries.
