India’s second-oldest asset management company, Canara Robeco, is set to list on the public markets tomorrow, October 9, 2025. The company filed its red herring prospectus with SEBI on October 3, 2025. 

IPO Details

  • Issue Structure: According to the RHP, the IPO is a book-building issue of ₹1,326.13 crore, consisting entirely of an offer for sale (OFS) of 4.99 crore worth of shares from promoters Canara Bank and ORIX Corporation Europe N.V.
     
  • Price Band: The price band is set between ₹253 and ₹266 apiece.
     
  • Subscription Period: The IPO will remain open for three trading days, from October 9, 2025, until October 13, 2025.
     
  • Allotment & Listing: The basis of allotment will be finalised by October 14, 2025, and tentative listing on BSE and NSE is October 16, 2025.
     
  • Book-running Lead Managers: SBI Capital Markets Limited, Axis Capital Limited, and JM Financial Limited are the book-running lead managers for the IPO.
     
  • Registrar: MUFG Intime India Private Limited is the registrar for the issue.
     
  • Use of Proceeds: As the IPO is structured as a 100% Offer for Sale, there is no fresh equity issuance, meaning all proceeds accrue to the selling shareholders. 

About the Company 

Canara Robeco is among India’s most established mutual fund houses and is the second-oldest asset management company in the country (Source: CRISIL Report, page 216). The company’s core business spans mutual fund management and investment advisory services. 

As of June 30, 2025, Canara Robeco AMC managed a diversified portfolio of 26 mutual fund schemes, comprising 12 equity funds, 10 debt funds, and four hybrid schemes, with a Quarterly Average Assets Under Management (QAAUM) of ₹ 1,110.52 billion.
