Strengths
Risks
Usha Financial Services has partnerships with numerous NBFCs and other companies, serving as facilitators and accelerators. The company claims that such collaborations have enabled it to extend its loan services to MSMEs in multiple states across the country.
The company employs the Vexil software, engineered by Vexil Infotech, as its primary financial management tool. The company claims that the software bolsters operational efficiency, particularly in loan management, collections management, field staff tracking, and collection data reporting.
The company has recorded a consistent rise in revenue from operations and profit after tax (PAT) over the last few years. Revenue from operations increased from Rs 25.03 crore in FY22 to Rs 45.63 crore in FY23 to Rs 63.22 crore in FY24, while PAT increased from Rs 4.14 crore in FY22 to Rs 10.16 crore in FY23 to Rs 13.45 crore in FY24.
Usha Financial Services' operations rely heavily on its ability to secure equity and debt capital from external sources under favourable conditions and within a suitable time frame. As of March 31, 2024, the company reported short-term and long-term borrowings of Rs 107.60 crore and Rs 73.68 crore, respectively. Any inability or failure to secure the necessary funds and repay the company’s debt obligations on time can be detrimental to the company’s operations and financial standing.
The company is an NBFC that provides lending solutions. Therefore, any decline in the credit quality of the loans issued by the company can negatively affect the company’s business and finances.
The company's assessment of borrowers' creditworthiness depends heavily on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided by them. Misleading information could lead to poor credit decisions, adversely affecting the company’s operations and financial health.
The company’s revenue is dependent on a small group of customers. The top 10 customers contributed Rs 11.21 crore (17.73%), Rs 10.28 crore (22.53%), and Rs 6.48 crore (25.91%), respectively, to the company's revenue from operations in FY24, FY23, and FY22. Any loss of these customers or slowdown in business from them can adversely affect the company’s operations and finances.
The company's revenue is significantly concentrated in two states. In FY24, FY23, and FY22, Delhi contributed Rs 14.64 crore (23.16%), Rs 13.44 crore (29.45%), and Rs 7.15 crore (28.59%), and West Bengal contributed Rs 12.14 crore (19.21%), Rs 6.01 crore (13.17%), and Rs 2.97 crore (11.86%), respectively, to the revenue from operations. Any decrease in demand from these states or any adverse developments in the business environment of these states can negatively impact the company’s operations and financial performance.
The company's promoters are involved in certain ongoing legal proceedings. Any adverse judgments in any of these cases can be detrimental to the company’s business prospects.
