Strengths & Financials of Danish Power
Danish Power is ISO 9001:2015 certified for quality management systems, ISO 14001:2015 certified for environmental management systems, and ISO 45001:2018 certified for occupational health and safety management systems.
The company's clientele consists of popular names like Tata Power Solar, Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited, Jakson Green Private Limited, ABB India Limited, and Torrent Power Limited.
Danish Power operates two manufacturing facilities with a total capacity of about 4,681 MVA for transformer production and can produce around 576 units of control relay panels annually.
The company claims that the facilities are equipped with advanced machinery, such as foil winding machine, oil storage tanks, a busbar processing machine, a lathe machine, a CNC plasma machine, a transformer oil filter machine, a sheet rolling machine, a powder coating plant, a motorised sheet cutter machine, a power press, HV/LV coil winding machines, and a vacuum drying oven with a trolley, a pipe & bolt threading machine, a roller bending machine, a vacuum pump, and a shearing machine.
Danish Power’s testing facility is accredited by NABL and conducts routine tests as per industry standards. The company claims that it is equipped to perform specialised tests such as lightning impulse withstand tests, capacitance – tan delta tests, temperature rise tests, and partial discharge tests.
The company has recorded a consistent rise in revenue from operations and profit after tax (PAT) over the last few years. Revenue from operations increased from Rs 148.63 crore in FY22 (standalone) to Rs 188.70 crore in FY23 (standalone) to Rs 332.48 crore in FY24 (consolidated), while PAT increased from Rs 5.25 crore in FY22 (standalone) to Rs 8.57 crore in FY23 (standalone) to Rs 38.07 crore in FY24 (consolidated).
Danish Power's production heavily relies on large quantities of raw materials, for which it is dependent on a limited number of suppliers. Any fluctuations in the availability of these products or failure to procure them on a timely basis can disrupt the company’s operations, negatively harming its operations and finances.
The company's products, such as transformers and relay panels, are exclusively designed and manufactured for large industries, EPC service providers, and public utilities and not for general consumer use. This niche market focus renders Danish Power heavily reliant on these sectors. Any decrease in demand for these products can adversely affect the company’s operations and financial performance.
A large portion of Danish Power's revenue is dependent on a few customers. The top 10 customers contributed 88.04%, 76.75%, and 79.86% to the revenue from operations in FY24, FY23, and FY22, respectively. Any loss of these major customers or failure to retain them can negatively impact the company’s functions and revenue generation capabilities.
The company is involved in certain legal proceedings. Any adverse judgments in any of these cases could be detrimental to the company’s business prospects.
A significant portion of the company's revenue comes from transformer sales. Any innovations in transformer technology or disruptions in the industry can affect the company’s market position.
As of March 31, 2024, the company’s total indebtedness amounted to Rs 10.11 crore. Any inability to repay or service these loans could harm the company’s financial standing.
As of March 31, 2024, Danish Power reported contingent liabilities amounting to Rs 52.37 crore. The company’s financial position can be adversely affected if these liabilities materialise.
