The much-awaited Urban Company IPO is finally set to open on September 10, 2025, as the company has filed its red herring prospectus (RHP) on September 2, 2025. The bidding window for anchor investors is scheduled to open on September 9, 2025. 

About the IPO

  • Issue Structure: According to the RHP, the IPO is a book-building issue of ₹1900 crore, consisting of a fresh issue of ₹472 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹1428 crore worth of shares from Accel India IV (Mauritius) Limited, Bessemer India Capital Holdings II Ltd, Elevation Capital V Limited (formerly known as SAIF Partners India V Limited), Internet Fund V Pte. Ltd, and VYC11 Limited. 
  • Price Band: The price band is set between ₹98 and ₹103 apiece. 
  • Subscription Period: The IPO will remain open for three trading days, from Sep 10, 2025, until Sep 12, 2025. 
  • Allotment & Listing: The basis of allotment will be finalised by Sep 15, 2025, and tentative listing on BSE and NSE is Sep 17, 2025. 
  • Book-running Lead Managers: Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, Morgan Stanley India Company Private Limited, Goldman Sachs (India) Securities Private Limited, and JM Financial Limited are the book-running lead managers for the IPO. 
  • Registrar: MUFG Intime India Private Limited is the registrar for the issue. 
  • Use of Proceeds: The company intends to use the IPO proceeds to fund the capital expenditure towards new technology development and cloud infrastructure, lease payments for offices, marketing activities, and general corporate purposes.

and solutions across various home and beauty categories. Consumers can book services, including cleaning, pest control, plumbing, carpentry, appliance servicing and repair, on-demand home-help assistance, painting, skincare, etc., directly from the Urban Company platform. 

Currently they operate in 51 cities across India, the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) and Singapore.
