Identity proof, address proof, and details of your bank account.
The documents have been made mandatory for investment by the governing body SEBI.
The documents we ask for is not optional.
No investment is possible without a PAN card.
At Groww, we use the PAN card as an identity proof also.
Any document that is a valid Govt. recognized proof of address is accepted.
We require your bank details because that is the only way you can transact online.
When you invest, it is through your online banking account.
When you redeem, the mutual fund company will credit the amount back to the bank account you provided us when you signed up.
Without the bank account detail, it is impossible to make transactions.
Besides the documents mentioned above, we also ask you to click a picture or send us a scan of your signature on a white piece of paper.
All our transactions take place through BSE.
We need your signature for the account opening form of BSE.
All documents are stored using bank-grade security measures and are completely safe. We do not gather any unnecessary information from users. Only the mandatory information is asked for.
Without these documents, investment is not possible according to Government rules.
