Step 6: Upon completion of your registration, the tax authority will issue your Tax Identification Number and give you a provisional certificate for your business.

You can then download the VAT registration certificate, which includes your 11-digit TIN.

  • Offline Method

The following is a step-by-step procedure to apply for TIN offline in India:

Step 1: Get the registration form from your state’s Commercial Tax Department website.

Step 2: Fill out the registration form correctly with all the required details and sign it.

Step 3: Gather the necessary documents and enclose them with the signed application form. Send the complete package to the facilitation centre.

Step 4: Tax officials will review and verify your application form and documents.
