Step 1: Visit the CDSL Website - web.cdslindia.com/myeasitoken/home/login and click on Register for Easi.

Step 2: In the BO ID box, enter your 16-digit demat account number.

Step 3: In the password box, enter your PAN card number, birth date, and month (DDMM).

Step 4: You will receive an OTP on your registered email and phone number.

Step 5: Enter a username and password, and answer the security question.

Step 6: In case an account holder has multiple demat accounts, they can be grouped under one username by entering the respective account numbers.

Step 7: Click ‘Continue’ to complete the registration.

How to Register for CDSL Easiest?

The process to sign up for CDSL Easiest is as follows:

Step 1: Visit the CDSL Website - web.cdslindia.com/myeasitoken/home/login and click on Register for Easiest.

Step 2: In the BO ID box, enter your 16-digit demat account number.

Step 3: In the password box, enter your PAN card number, birth date, and month (DDMM).

Step 4: You will receive an OTP on your registered email and phone number.

Step 5: Enter a username and password, and answer the security question.

Step 6: On the next screen, you can add up to 4 demat accounts to whom you want to transfer shares. However, you can leave it blank if you want to add the trusted accounts at a later stage.

Step 7: In case an account holder has multiple demat accounts, these accounts can be grouped under one username by entering the respective account numbers.

Step 8: Click ‘Continue’ to complete the registration.

Users who already have a CDSL Easi account can upgrade their account to CDSL Easiest by visiting the CDSL website and upgrading their BO ID.

TPIN for CDSL Easiest

Another significant difference between Easi and CDSL Easiest is the usage of a TPIN. CDSL Easiest allows investors to transfer shares from one demat account to another. As a result, it is necessary to secure the account with the help of a TPIN which is authenticated through an OTP.
