IOB has a number of mobile apps that can be used for a variety of banking tasks, including checking your balance. You should sign up for mobile banking and then download the applications from the Google Play Store or Apple Store to your smartphone.

  • IOB Nanban: This app can be used on a smartphone for non-financial transactions. It can be used to check the balance of a savings bank account, a current account, a loan account, or a deposit account through IOB. This app allows you to check the status of your check and download E-statements.

3) IOB Internet Banking Services Balance Inquiry

Customers with a savings bank account, a current account, a deposit account, or a loan account can use the service. This service is available to individuals, proprietorship firms, partnership firms, LLPs, trusts, societies, and HUFs. 

When you register, you will be given a User ID and a password. Any transaction can be completed by following the steps outlined below:

  1. Use the login credentials to access your net banking account on the bank's official website.
  2. From the dashboard, select the appropriate service. For the account balance, select 'Balance Enquiry.'
  3. You may instantly see your account's current available balance. Mini-statements and historical transactions for a certain period can also be viewed.

4) USSD Code

Customers who are unfamiliar with technology or who do not have access to the internet or a data bank can use the USSD Code to check their IOB balance.

Even if you don't have a smartphone, you can use this service. To retrieve your account information, you'll need to know the bank's USSD code and follow the instructions outlined below:

  1. For this, use a registered mobile number.
  2. From the phone's dialer pad, dial *99*52#.
  3. Choose a language in which you are most at ease.
  4. Enter the IFSC Code (International Financial Services Code) or the two-digit bank code.
  5. Select send from the drop-down menu.

5) Indian Overseas Bank Balance Check Toll Free Number for SMS

Customers of Indian Overseas Bank can check their account balance by sending an SMS to 8424022122 from their registered mobile phones. 

  1. Send the SMS to 8424022122; it is the IOB balance check number. 
  2. It needs to be sent with the format "BAL Last four digits of Account Number>."
  3. The account balance is sent to you through SMS by the bank.

6) IOB ATM Balance Check

IOB cardholders can check their balance at any IOB ATM. It's a really straightforward procedure; all customers have to do is swipe their ATM card into the machine, log in with their ATM PIN, and select the "Balance Enquiry" option.

They can also use the Mini Statement option to check their latest ten account transactions. The ATM will produce a receipt with the data of the previous ten account transactions on it. They could also check their account balance at a non-IOB ATM.
