Ayushman Bharat program is a prominent initiative of the government of India, created in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the 2017 National Health Policy. Its overall objective is to acknowledge the aims of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), aligning itself with the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
