Holdings of a mutual fund should definitely be checked by an investor as it helps in taking a decision of investing. Moreover it also tells us the diversification of the fund.
Following steps can be followed for checking the holdings of a mutual fund:
·     Search the name of the fund whose holdings an investor wants to check.
·     As soon as the investor clicks on the fund, a new tab will open
·     Performance page of the fund will open
·     Go to Holdings Analysis to check the Sector Allocation Breakup and Equity Size breakup.
·     Holdings of stocks can also be checked by going to Top Holdings.
Under the holdings section of a mutual fund, you can easily check the stocks in which mutual fund has invested your capital. Mutual fund also discloses details other than holdings such as performance, holding analysis, etc
