Canara Bank customers, after opening a current or savings account, are asked to generate a 4-digit ATM PIN or debit card PIN for security purposes. Users can use any of the following methods for Canara Bank debit card PIN generation:

To do so, they should follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Call the Canara Bank customer care number 1800-425-0018 for the Interactive Voice Response service.

Step 2: Select your preferred language.

Step 3: Press the requested number on your handset to select the debit card services.

Step 4: Select ‘Generate Debit Card PIN’.

Step 5: Enter the Canara Bank account number and press the confirmation number.

Step 6: Enter the 16-digit Canara Bank debit card number.

Step 7: Next, enter your date of birth in the DDMMYY format for verification.

Step 8: Input the 4-digit ATM PIN of your choice and the expiry date of your debit card.

Step 9: Re-enter your ATM PIN for confirmation.

Step 10: The bank will send a confirmation message to your registered mobile number once the PIN has been generated.

Customers of Canara Bank can also activate Canara Bank ATM cards using the online banking service. Follow the steps below to generate Canara Bank ATM PIN through online banking:

• Step 1: Log in to Canara Bank online banking with your username and password.
• Step 2: After logging in, select the "Card PIN" option.
• Step 3: On the next page, click on "Generate PIN".
• Step 4: Select the debit card for which you want to generate the Canara Bank Green PIN/ATM PIN. 
• Step 5: Enter your Canara Bank debit card number and CVV number. Click on “Generate OTP”.
• Step 6: Enter the OTP that is sent to your registered phone number.
• Step 7: Create a new ATM/Debit Card PIN and re-enter it as a confirmation.
• Step 8: Click the "Generate Now" button.

The bank will send a notification on your registered number after successful debit card PIN activation of Canara Bank.

Another simple method for customers to generate Canara Bank ATM PIN online is through the Canara Bank mobile banking app. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Get the Canara Bank Mobile Banking App 'Canara ai1' from the Play Store or ioS Store.

Step 2: Once the application is installed, register with your mobile number linked to your Canara Bank account.

Step 3: Next, log in with your User Name and Password.

Step 4: On the Dashboard, go to the 'Cards' menu and then to 'Pin Generation.'

Step 5:  Select the option ‘Create a New Pin’. 

Step 6: Enter a 4-digit ATM PIN followed by your card number, expiry date and CVV number. Click ‘Confirm’ to activate the new PIN.
