The account holders of Canara Bank will be given a debit card, for which the customers or account holders themselves will have to generate the debit card PIN. In addition, based on the Go Green initiative, Canara Bank has also launched the Green PIN, where a customer can now generate their ATM card PIN at any Canara Bank ATM across the country.
Customers could also create a debit card PIN through online banking or net banking. Another option for customers to generate the Canara Bank ATM PIN is through Voice Response by phoning a toll-free customer care number of the bank.
There are different methods for Canara Bank ATM PIN generation, and they have been elaborated on below:
Clients that have an active online banking account can generate their debit card pin without visiting a branch or an ATM. Follow the instructions below for Canara Bank ATM PIN generation online:
Step 1: Sign in to your Canara Bank Net Banking account using your User ID and Password.
Step 2: In the Cards menu, select 'Instant Pin Generation in the Cards menu.'
Step 3: You will now see a list of cards associated with your account. Select the ATM / Debit Card for which you want the Pin Number to be generated and enter the Card Expiry Month and Year (MM/YY). Then press the Submit button.
Step 4: You will receive an OTP as an SMS on your registered mobile number. Enter the code and then press the Submit button.
Step 5: You will now be prompted to enter a new ATM pin. Enter and validate the four-digit new ATM Pin. Then input the expiry date of the card.
Step 6: Select the 'Reset ATM Pin' option. Your new ATM Pin is now ready for use.
Another simple method for consumers to generate ATM pins is to use the Canara Bank Mobile App for Pin creation. It's effortless and uncomplicated. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Get the Canara Bank Mobile Banking App 'CANDI - Mobile Banking App' from the Google Play or App Store.
Step 2: Once the Application is installed on your registered Mobile Number handset, open it and log in with your User Name and Password.
Step 3: On the Dashboard, go to the 'Cards' menu and then to 'Pin Generation.'
Step 4: You will now see a screen with the option to create a New Pin. Enter and confirm the new Pin Number. After that, input your card's expiration month and year and click Submit.
Your new ATM Pin number is now active.
To activate their Green PIN at an ATM, Canara Bank customers must complete the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Visit the nearest Canara Bank ATM.
Step 2: Insert the Canara Bank Debit Card you just received into the ATM.
Step 3: Select your preferred language after swiping your debit card.
Step 4: Then, from the options presented on the ATM screen, select "Generate Green PIN/Forgot PIN."
Step 5: Enter the Canara Bank bank account number to which you want your debit card to be attached.
Step 6: Once you've entered your bank account number, select "correct."
After that, input your bank-registered mobile phone number.
Step 7: After that, your registered mobile number. will be given an OTP
Step 8: Enter the OTP and click "verify OTP."
Step 9: After entering the OTP, the screen will prompt you to enter a 4-digit PIN.
Step 10: To confirm the combination, enter the PIN again.
Step 11: Select "confirm the PIN."
Step 12: Your debit card PIN will be activated once this is completed. Canara Bank will notify you that your Green PIN has been generated and activated.
Customers can generate their Green PIN using their internet banking account, mobile banking account, or at a Canara Bank ATM, but they can also do so on their cell phone using the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service. Follow the instructions below:
Step 1: Call the Canara Bank IVR customer service section at 1800 425 0018.
Step 2: The first thing you'll need to do is select your preferred language. Choose one for Hindi, two for English, and so on.
Step 3: Select the option for debit card-related questions.
Step 4: Then select the option for ATM PIN selections.
Step 5: Enter your Canara Bank account number and the confirmation code.
Step 6: Enter the 16-digit Canara Bank debit card number.
Step 7: Enter the date of birth in the DDMMYY format for verification.
Step 8: Enter your 4-digit ATM PIN and the expiry date of your debit card.
Step 9: As confirmation, enter your PIN again.
Step 10: Canara Bank Green PIN has now been activated. Canara Bank will send you an email once your PIN has been generated. If you haven't already, contact your bank.
