The company is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, U.S. The organization targets to take part in an even larger role in the $160 billion opportunities for mobility-as-a-service.
In 2014, it was reported that Intel would set about a $6 million plan to broaden and upgrade activities in the chip manufacturing plant in Israel. In January 2015, Intel declared about investing $300 million over the next five years to improve racial and gender diversity within their company and the technology industry. The company has become one of the most appreciable computer brands succeeding its long-running Intel Inside campaign.
On 16th March 2017, Intel declared its most significant acquisition, Mobileye, a computer vision firm, developing in autonomous cars with a whopping $15.3 billion. Intel has made dozens of investments throughout its history, but five notable acquisitions have been more than $1 billion. Intel’s $16.75 billion acquisition of Altera in 2015 is the 7th most significant tech acquisition of all time. In May 2020, Intel owned Moovit, an Israel-based mobility service provider and a journey planner app for $9000 million through the Mobileye subsidiary.
Intel has received a 100% rating on multiple Corporate Equality Indices shared by the Human Rights Campaign. Additionally, the company is often named one of the 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers as per Working Mother magazine. The company was first enlisted on NASDAQ on 2nd January, 1981 under the ticker sign INTC.
