Services Offered by RTO Bangalore

One of the main role of Bangalore RTOs is to ensure road safety and maintain traffic rules as per the Motor Vehicles Act. Given below are the various RTO services in Bangalore:

  •  Vehicle Registration: The major function of the RTOs in Bangalore is to provide vehicle registration and permanent Vehicle RC. The vehicle registrations that are done in Bangalore's RTOs are of two kinds, and they are temporary and permanent.
  •  Driver's License: The RTOs also provide driver's licenses for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, three-wheelers, heavy-weight vehicles, and more. The licenses provided are basically of two types, and they are learner's license and driver's license. The learner's license is provided first, and the applicant can avail of the driver's license only after getting a learner's license. Therefore, the learner's license is also a form of document to be submitted to apply for a driver's license.
  •  Tax Collection: RTOs of Bangalore also collect the Road tax as the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 prescribes it for the Karnataka state Government. The RTO department also collects all of the RTO-associated fees and charges for the services provided.
  •  Issuance of Permits: RTO Bangalore issues permits for interstate and national use. These permits are provided to commercial vehicles, tourist vehicles, and transit vehicles to cross borders.
  • RC: All citizens can get a vehicle ownership certificate or Registration Certificate over the registered transport vehicles, along with their driver's license, through all the RTOs of Bangalore.
  • Vehicle Inspection: The RTO of Bangalore also conducts vehicle inspections to make sure that the roadworthiness and compliance with rules, regulations, and emission standards are done. It will also issue a Vehicle fitness certificate and pollution under control certificate after the inspection has been conducted and verified.
  • Transfer of Vehicle Ownership: Vehicle owners can also transfer their vehicle ownership to a new owner. However, this can only be done in three circumstances: on owner's death, on Vehicle's auction, or on Vehicle's resale.
  •  Other Services: In order to offer integral citizen services, the Government of Karnataka has implemented Bangalore One as a project, which provides offline services that the RTOs provide.

Apart from this, RTO Bangalore also provides various other services apart from the major operations that it carries out in the city.
