Given that you are starting out at a young age, it is my assumption that you are comfortable with taking some degree of risk. Since you are looking for high returns, having risk appetite will work in your favour.

There are various plans that are available for you.

One of the best investment options is Start Investing with Rs.1000 - Long Term. Though the minimum amount required to be invested in this fund is only Rs. 1000, investing a higher amount will increase potential return too. As per your investment constraints, a monthly commitment of Rs. 2000 would grow to Rs. 26,835 at an annualized historical rate of return of 26.93%.

If you are looking to invest a sum of Rs. 5000 or higher in a long term fund, Groww's Become a Crorepati in 15 years is most suited to your requirements. At a historical rate of 21.17% per annum, a monthly investment of minimum amount in the fund would increase the value of your corpus to Rs. 4,99,671 at the end of five years.

Wealth Creation is another fund that you can consider. The fund has generated a return of 25.82% on an annualized basis, which means that an investment of Rs. 5000 a month would enable you to increase the value of your corpus to Rs. 5,46,574 at the end of five years.

Since you are looking for long term investment, High Returns Long Term SIP is also a good investment option for you. It has generated 31.4% annualized return in the past, and would enable you to earn Rs. 2,36,563 after investing the minimum amount every month for three years.

It is important to note that the historic rate of return is merely indicative, and not a guarantee, of the fund's future performance.

You can visit Groww's website and evaluate other portfolio options available to you here. You can also contact our team of highly skilled and experienced managers to further discuss and devise a plan more specifically designed to meet your needs.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on your foresight and wisdom at this age. You have made a great choice in deciding that you want to start investing.

Systematic Investment Plan or SIP is a method of investing money in mutual funds. The other way to invest is lump sum or one time payment.

In SIP, you invest a fixed amount of money in a mutual fund of your choice every month. The set up is such that the money is automatically debited from your bank account. To know what amount of monthly SIP you need to invest to achieve a certain money goal, use our SIP calculator.

You can check out various types of mutual funds- here.

Few high risk mutual funds, as requested-

  1. Reliance Small Cap Fund
  2. L&T Infrastructure Fund
  3. DSP Blackrock Micro Cap Fund

You can check various high risk- high return mutual funds- here. These funds may provide returns as high as 30-50% in a year. However an investor should take into consideration his/her risk-return appetite before investing.

Best of luck for your endeavor. Happy investing!
