About the Company

Headquartered in Chicago, Molson Coors is an international brewing and drinks company. It was formed by a merger in 2005 between the Molson of Canada, which was founded by John Molson in the year 1786, and Coors of the United States, founded by Adolph Coors in the year 1873. It then came to be known as Molson Coors Brewing Company. The company started trading in the NYSE under the ticker symbol TAP. Post the merger, Molson Coors began a series of important acquisitions and joint ventures. In 2008, it formed a joint venture with SABMiller, which came to be known as MillerCoors. This joint venture carried their brewing and sales operation in the United States. In the year 2009, Molson Coors purchased Granville Island Brewery in British Columbia. Later in 2011, the enterprise again formed a joint venture with Cobra Beer Company in India. In 2016, Molson Coors acquired the remaining shares from MillerCoors joint venture from SABMiller, which gave it complete control of the Coors, Millers, and Molson brands globally. Molson Coors owns a number of notable beverage and beer brands like Carling, Coors Light, Blue moon Irish Red, Coors Banquet, Molson Canadian Miller Lite, Miller High Life, and many more. It operates through four primary segments: United States, Canada, Europe, International and Corporate, all of which handles production, marketing and sales of the brands in respective regions. Molson Coors major products include beer, malt beverage, energy drinks, spirits, and wines. As of 2020, Molson Coors had employee strength of 17,700 and created opportunities for sustainable growth, inclusive culture, and dynamic career options. Molson Coors is a Fortune 500 company, boasting a rank of 298. Further, it also acquired the 1158th position in the Forbes Global 2000 list in 2020. Besides these, the company holds the 190th rank in Canada’s Best Employers 2021 and 1158th rank in Global 2000 2020 lists. Formerly, it boasted 58th position in Growth Champions 2018, 41st in World’s Most Innovative Companies 2018, 197th in America’s Largest Companies 2018, and 96th in Just Companies 2017.;
