About the Company

NVR, Inc. is an American company engaged in home construction. The company was founded in 1980 as NVHomes, Inc. It went public through an initial public offering in November 1993, and its shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). NVR, Inc. shares have a ticker symbol of NVR. NVR shares were included as a component on the S&P 500 stock market index in September 2019. The company’s corporate headquarters are in Reston, Virginia, United States. As of 2021, NVR, Inc. is one of the leading homebuilders in America. It has a clientele of homebuyers in 32 metropolitan areas across 14 US states, including Ohio, New York, Maryland, Illinois, Washington, D.C, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Indiana and Tennessee. The company operates through two business segments, namely Homebuilding and Mortgage Banking. Its Homebuilding segment constructs and sells residential properties under its brands of Heartland Homes, NVHomes, and Ryan Homes. Heartland Homes offers villa-style homes, townhomes, as well as single-family residential properties. One of the top luxury homebuilders in the US, NVHomes’ properties are spread across Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington. Ryan Homes’ property portfolio consists of more than 4,00,000 homes, including townhomes, condominiums as well as single-family homes. NVR’s Mortgage unit primarily caters to NVR homebuyers and operates branches in the areas where NVR has homebuilding businesses. It also has several subsidiaries, including NVR Savings Bank; NVHomes L.P, NVR Mortgage Finance, Inc.; and Ryan Mortgage Acceptance Corporation (RYMAC). NVR Settlement Services, one of NVR’s subsidiaries also headquartered in Reston, Virginia, United States, offers a range of title and settlement services for NVR’s operations. NVR, Inc. also offers support functions to each of its sub-entities, which includes human resource specialists, advanced information and technology, sales and marketing assistance, among other resources. Some of its notable mergers include the acquisition of Ryan Homes in 1986 and Heartland Homes, Inc., in 2013. In 2018, Forbes recognised the company as one of America’s Largest Public Companies. NVR, Inc. ranked 417th on the list of Fortune 500 companies, as of 2021. It ranked 1147th on Forbes’ list of Global 2000 2020 companies.;
