About the Company

An American global aerospace and defence technology company, Northrop Grumman Corporation was first established in 1994. The company came into existence after Northrop Aircraft acquired Grumman Aerospace that built the Apollo Lunar Module. They went on to create Northrop Grumman at an estimated price of $2.1 billion. In June 2018, the company acquired Orbital ATK, and it was completely absorbed as a new business sector, namely the Northrop Grumman Innovation System. This acquisition helped the company to be more involved with the space industry. In 2007, the company acquired Scaled Composite, in which the company previously owned a stake of 40%. The Northrop Grumman Corporation acquired a series of companies, which include the Grumman Aerospace, TRW Inc., and Westinghouse. The following year, this company purchased Teledyne Ryan, developers of the surveillance system and unmanned aircraft, Data Procurement Corporation and California Microwave Inc. The company also acquired Navia Aviation AS, Comptek Research Inc., Sterling Software Inc., and Federal Data Corporation in 2000. Litton Industries was acquired by the firm in 2001, which is a shipbuilder and defence electronic system provider for the US Navy. The company has around 62 offices across 11 countries; these include the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.
