Motorola Solutions, Inc., is an American company that offers equipment for telecommunications and data communication. The company traces its corporate roots to its predecessor Motorola, Inc., which separated into two independent, stand-alone companies – Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions, in 2011. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol of MSI. MSI shares are also included as a component on the S&P 500 stock market index. MSI stocks reached an all-time highest stock closing price on March 6, 2000 at $243.37. Motorola Solutions, Inc., is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The company’s product portfolio consists of software and applications, video surveillance and analytics, systems and networks, two-way radio solutions, radio accessories, as well as LTE devices and systems. It also offers infrastructure services, integration services and cybersecurity. Its clientele includes private entities in the industries of hospitality, transportation and logistics, oil and gas, manufacturing and utilities. Motorola Solutions, Inc., also offers products and services to public safety as well as government agencies, such as law enforcement and emergency medical services. In 2011, the State of Mississippi awarded Motorola Solutions with a contract to develop the first state-wide broadband LTE public safety network. In 2012, MSI launched LEX700, the world’s first handheld public safety LTE device. Over the years, the company made several acquisitions and expanded its business operations globally. It acquired Symbol Technologies in 2006 in a transaction of $3.9 billion. It bought-off Airwave, the world’s largest private operator of a public safety network based in the United Kingdom, for a purchase price of $1.2 billion in 2016. In 2019, it purchased Avtec for an undisclosed amount and strengthened its public safety portfolio. The company entered into three key acquisitions in 2020 and bought-off Pelco, IndigoVision and Callyo. As of 2021, Microsoft Solutions, Inc. operates in numerous countries across the globe including Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, France, Israel, Germany, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Russia, Sweden, UAE, Spain and the United Kingdom, among others. It ranked 403rd on the list of Fortune 500 companies. Forbes included MSI in its lists of Global 2000 2020 companies as well as Best Employers for Diversity 2020, wherein it ranked 913th and 320th, respectively.;
