About the Company

With two headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Chicago, Illinois, the Kraft Heinz Company is globally one of the largest food and beverage companies. As of 2019, it is North America’s third-largest food and beverage company and globally ranks fifth. Popularly known as Kraft Heinz, this company has more than 37,000 employees working across 40 countries worldwide. Some of these countries are Australia, Mexico, Sweden, Belgium, America, France, India, Denmark, Ireland, Korea, etc. It offers more than 100 brands, such as Jell-O, Oscar Mayer, Heinz, Capri Sun, Kool-Aid, Lunchables, Smart Ones, Grey Poupon, Panters, Velveeta, Golden Circle, Mio, Amoy, Quero, Aproten, PurePet, Athenos, Delimex, Knudsen, Ore-Ida, Pudliszki, Orlando, Lea & Perrins, etc. Some of these brands were added to the company when Kraft Food and Heinz merged to create Kraft Heinz in 2015. However, the company’s history dates back to 1869 when Henry J. Heinz started to pack foodstuffs in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania. After a few setbacks, he opened F & J Heinz with his brother and started marketing its most popular product, Heinz Tomato Ketchup. Before merging with Kraft Food, Heinz acquired companies like Borden Foods. It also acquired Anchor Food Products’ branded products like the licensing rights of TGI Fridays and Poppers line of appetisers. On the other hand, Kraft Foods is a conglomerate that spun off from Kraft Foods Inc. in 2012 and brought brands like Gevalia, Oscar Mayer, Boca Burger, and Polly-O into the Kraft Heinz family. Since its incorporation in 2015, Kraft Heinz Company shares have been trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker symbol “KHC”. It is also a component of indices like S&P100, S&P 500, and NASDAQ 100. Kraft Heinz was awarded the 17th position in Top Regarded Companies List 2019. The company secured the 36th rank in America’s Largest Public Companies 2018 list. KHC also maintained its former image of being a Fortune 500 enterprise, and it is the 122nd company on the list as of 2020. Forbes also recognised KHC in two of its prestigious lists in 2020, namely, World’s Best Employers and Global 2000.;
