About the Company

Discovery, Inc. is a multinational mass media company headquartered in New York, United States. It was founded in 1985 as Discovery Communications with the launch of Discovery Channel, the company’s namesake and flagship brand. In 2018, Discovery Communications changed its corporate name to Discovery, Inc. when it acquired Scripps Network Interactive in a key merger worth $14.6 billion. Discovery shares trade on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange under the symbols - DISCA, DISCB and DISCK. DISCK shares are also included as a component on the S&P 500 index. In 2020, Discovery portfolio hit numerous rating milestones in the US, retaining its position as a global leader in real life entertainment. Eurosport Player, its online streaming service, was the fastest-growing pan-European sports streaming service. The company continued to expand its digital presence with the launch of an over-the-top (OTT) streaming service named Discovery+ in several countries like the United Kingdom, Ireland and India. Forbes included Discovery, Inc. in its list of Global 2000 companies, in which it ranked 584th. It ranked 287th on the list of Fortune 500 companies.;
