It has about 88 markets in 29 states across the USA, like Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Colorado, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Nevada, Oregon, etc. The company also offers its flagship service called Smart Home, that helps in the installation of the latest technology in homes. This encompasses installing hands-free communication, single application control, multi-platform wireless network, one-wire connectivity, integrated geofencing technology, etc.
D.R. Horton was founded in 1978 and as of 2020 has built more than 790,000 homes across the country. It is both a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 company that started trading in 1992 under the symbol DHI in New York Stock Exchange. In the month of October 2020, DHI share prices spiked in an unprecedented way. Fortune also recognised it under its 2020 list of Most Admired Companies. From 1997 to 2018, it has acquired 13 significant businesses like Classic Builders, Westport Homes and Terramor Homes in 2018, Wilson Parker homes in 2016, Pacific Ridge Homes in 2015, Schuler Homes in 2002, Emerald Builders in 2001, etc.;
