About the Company
CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. is a Sunnyvale, California-based cybersecurity technology firm. Its services include cloud workload and endpoint security, threat intelligence, and cyberattack response. The business has been involved in the investigations of numerous high-profile cyberattacks, including the Sony Pictures hack in 2014, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) intrusions in 2015–16, and the DNC email dump in 2016. In 2011, George Kurtz (CEO), Dmitri Alperovitch (former CTO), and Gregg Marston (CFO, retired) co-founded CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike assisted in the investigation of the Democratic National Committee cyber assaults, which were linked to Russian intelligence agencies. On March 20, 2017, James Comey testified in front of Congress, stating, CrowdStrike, Mandiant, and ThreatConnect reviewed the evidence of the breach and concluded with high certainty that it was the work of APT 28 and APT 29, which are known to be Russian intelligence agencies. In June 2019, the firm went public on the NASDAQ with an initial public offering (IPO).;
