About the Company

Capri Holdings Limited is a multi-national fashion holding group comprising luxury fashion brands like Versace, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors. Founded in 1981 by American designer Michael Kors, the company was previously known as Michael Kors Holding Limited. Presently, it has operational offices in New York and executive offices in London. Capri Holdings Limited shares are sold on NYSE under the ticker symbol “CPRI”. CPRI has garnered a great reputation for selling a wide range of luxury clothes, watches, shoes and other accessories. It has over 500 stores and more than 1500 in-store boutiques in various countries worldwide. In 2002, Kors launched a new line of clothing for men with a $100 million investment from Lawrence Stroll, a Canadian fashion investor and his partner, Silas Chou. And, just two years later, a new line of women’s handbags, shoes and apparel was launched. In 2011, the investors led an IPO in Michael Kors Holding Limited on the NYSE. Three years after being listed on the NYSE, the company was able to generate a revenue of $3.2 billion with a net income of over $600 million. By 2017, CPRI had over 120 licensed stores and more than 800 outlet stores. In 2017, the company made a strong statement when it announced that it would no longer use animal fur in its clothes, shoes, handbags and other accessories. In the same year, it completed the acquisition of Jimmy Choo for $897 million. A year later, CPRI acquired Versace, the Italian fashion group for $2.1 billion, following which Michael Kors Holding Limited became Capri Holding Limited. In 2020, the company made $35 million worth of product donation to an American non-profit organisation named Delivering Good. The purpose of this offering was to support individuals impacted by poverty and disasters.;
