Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, Charter Communications Inc. A is an American company that offers Mass Media and Communications-related services. As of 2020, it had over 95,100 employees serving in 41 states across the USA. It had more than 750,000 miles of Network infrastructure and a client base of over 30 million people. It offers its services under the brand name of Spectrum, and the respective names of Spectrum Reach, Spectrum Residential, Spectrum Originals, Spectrum Business, Spectrum Enterprise and Spectrum Networks. It is one of the largest TV operators, cable operators and telephone services providers in the United States. The company is a component on the S&P 100, S&P 500 as well as NASDAQ 100 lists. In 1999, it became public and started to trade in the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol CHTR. Within a year from that, it managed to earn a spot in the Fortune 500 list. The company was founded in 1993 by Howard Wood, Barry Babcock and Jerald Kent. However, its roots go back to the late 1940s when the first cable systems were founded in the US. In 1964, Newhouse started to provide cable systems and in 1973 Warner Cables introduced Warner Communications. In 1980, Charter Communications CATV was established in Michigan by Charles H. Leonard. After several acquisitions and mergers in 1993, the current Charter Communication Inc. was consolidated. Since then, the company continued to acquire more businesses and expanded its reach across the United States. Between 1995 and 1998, it acquired Cable South and Marcus Cable and started delivering high-speed internet by working with EarthLink. In 1999, it completed over ten significant acquisitions such as Rifkin Acquisition Partners and InterLink Communications’ cable systems, Renaissance Media Group, Vista Broadband Communications, Falcon Cable TV, Fanch Communications Inc. etc. By 2017, the company had merged with Times Warner Cable making it one of the largest companies of the US in its respective field. During 2019-2020, it launched its App called Spectrum TV App, managed SD-Wan, advanced in-home WiFi, 5G service and a new local news App.;
