About the Company
Conagra Brands, Inc. was incorporated on December 5th, 1975. Previously, it was known as ConAgra Foods, Inc. It was established in 1919 under the name Nebraska Consolidated Mills. Since then, the business underwent extensive changes, finally adopting the name ‘ConAgra’ in 1971.
The company markets packaged food items for restaurants, retail consumers and other institutions. Even though the company is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, its products are available across other North American countries, such as Canada and Mexico. Today, its consumer food division maintains 27 domestic manufacturing facilities in places such as Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Illinois and others.
Internationally, its manufacturing plants are spread throughout the globe. Canada, Mexico, Argentina, India and Italy are just some of the locations abroad where Conagra Brands has operation plants.
Some of Conagra’s most recognised brands include Slim Jim, Marie Callender’s, Peter Pan, Chef Boyardee, Snack Pack, Egg Beaters, Reddi-wip and many more. At present Conagra Brands operates in over 50 locations, employing around 18000 people worldwide.
Conagra Brands also values sustainable growth, ensuring environmental preservation alongside business development. 2019 marked the 10th recognition under the Sustainable Development Awards Program for the company, which has led to a reduction in Conagra’s carbon footprint by around 185,000 tonnes.;
