About the Company

Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) is a global supplier of semiconductor and infrastructure software products. Headquartered in San Jose, California, United States, the company has emerged as an international leader in infrastructure technology. It traces its roots to the rich heritage of Hewlett-Packard (HP), Agilent Technologies, AT&T and Bell Labs. In 2005, Agilent Technologies was acquired in a $2.66 billion transaction, which formed Avago Technologies. It began operations as the largest privately-held semiconductor company in the world. The company filed an initial public offering of $400 million in 2008. In 2009, it went public on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol of “AVGO”. Avago Technologies acquired the Broadcom division of Broadcom Corporation in January 2016. Following this acquisition, the ticker symbol AVGO, which earlier represented Avago Technologies, now began representing Broadcom Inc. stock. Broadcom, Inc. has curated a diverse portfolio of products and solutions. It offers optical products, mainframe software, enterprise software, storage adapters, controllers, ICs, wireless components, security solutions, and a lot more. AVGO also provides BizOps solutions, broadband and wired networking, integrated cyber defence, wireless and mobile communications, among several other solutions. Broadcom, Inc. has its business processes across the globe, including countries like Japan, Israel, China, Canada, Austria, Bulgaria, South Korea, Czech Republic, Singapore, India, Germany, UAE, Vietnam, Italy, the United Kingdom, among others. Its US corporate offices span across the country and cover California, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Washington DC, Georgia, Texas, New York and several other states. In February 2020, Broadcom announced the launch of BCM4389 - world’s first Wi-Fi 6E client chipset. On November 10th, 2020, AVGO announced the launch of two industry-first products - BCM8989X and BCM8957X, which further solidified its foothold in the market as a pioneer. In 2019, AVGO received the Most Respected Public Semiconductor Company award by GSA (Global Semiconductor Alliance), in the category of greater than $5billion annual sales. It was recognised by the Customer Relationship Management Institute for its excellence in customer services in 2020. As of 2020, Broadcom, Inc. stood at the 138th rank on the list of Fortune 500 companies in the world. It ranked 192nd on Forbes Global 2000. Forbes also recognised Broadcom, Inc. as one of the Best Employers for Diversity.;
