Amphenol Corporation is a company engaged in the manufacture of electrical, fiber optic & electronic connectors, coaxial & flat-ribbon cables, and interconnect systems. Headquartered in Wallingford, Connecticut, this American company was founded by Arthur J. Schmitt in Chicago in 1932. What started with producing sockets for radio tubes is now one of the largest interconnect product manufacturers in the world. It offers products for eight different markets, namely, military, broadband, automotive, mobile networks, commercial aerospace, IT7 datacom, mobile devices, and industrial. The company also has more than 100 businesses under its umbrella, like Amphenol RF, SV Microwave, Amphenol PDC, Amphenol Commercial Aerospace Division, etc. Few of its most renowned products in the market include 1119 In-Line Junctions, 2M Micro 38999 Series, 3559 Push-Pull Connectors, 0.50mm Flex Connectors, and 0.80mm Board-To-Board 100Ω - G832MC Series. Between 2005 and 2017, the company has acquired several important companies and business such as SV Microwave in 2005, SEFEE in 2008, Jaybeam Wireless in 2009, the Advanced Sensors Business of GE in 2013, FCI Asia Pte Ltd, and AUXELFTG (AUXEL) in 2016 and Phitek Ltd in 2017. The company also acquired Industrial Sensing businesses via a British engineering group called Meggitt PLC. This encompassed a divestiture of three companies - Piezo Technologies, Piher Sensors and Controls, and Wilcoxon Research. As of 2020, the company had around 74,000 employees. This S&P 500 company is listed in the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol APH share and reached $124.28, its highest on November 11th, 2020. Since it was founded, Amphenol has received numerous recognitions from prestigious organisations. A few of its greatest achievements include earning a position in Forbes' 2000 companies list in 2020. In 2018, it became one of the Forbes Top 100 Digital Companies and Celestica's First-Year Global Supplier Award in 2004. As of 2020, it has 99 operations spread across 33 countries such as China, the United States, France, Italy, Sweden, Israel, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, etc.;
