It was greatly encouraged by HP to conduct extensive research and build innovative equipment. After becoming a separate entity in 1999, it slowly spread across four locations in the Bay area of San Francisco by 2003. Within 2006 it had established dominance over the Chinese and European market, and as of now, is considered a global scientific sensation. Agilent’s raw material identification system Vaya Ramen won the 2020 R&D 100 award under the analytical/test category. It was declared one of America’s best employers for diversity by Forbes in 2019. It ranked 53rd among the top 500 companies listed by this business magazine. Over the years, this company has acquired numerous technological and scientific businesses like Seahorse Bioscience, Advanced Analytical Technologies, Inc etc. Among these, the most notable has been the acquisition of Danish company Dako, for a massive amount of $2.2 billion on 17th May 2012.;
