About Paytm

Paytm is a financial services firm that offers various services like recharge, online payments, sending money. The company was founded in August 2010 when it had started as a recharge platform. It later added various verticals. A few of its businesses include: flights, bus and rail ticket bookings, Paytm Money, Paytm Mall, Paytm Payments Bank, Paytm Gold, Paytm Insurance, among other products. Paytm's investors include Softbank, Ant Financial, AGH Holdings, SAIF Partners, Berkshire Hathaway, T Rowe Price, and Discovery Capital. During the second week of June 2021, Paytm sought shareholders' approval to sell 'new' shares worth Rs 12,000 crores in the IPO. ;
