Why is the hold amount more than my order value?

When you place an order, the money kept on hold includes estimated brokerage and regulatory charges (exchange charges, SEBI turnover charges, stamp duty, and STT). Hence the hold value might be higher than the order value. This will be adjusted by end of day before the final settlement is done.
