Why is my order only partially filled?

Your order may be partially filled due to limited liquidity in the market. If there aren’t enough buyers or sellers available at your specified price, only a part of your order can be executed. The remaining portion will stay open until matching buyers or sellers become available.

Example:
  • You place an order to buy 100 shares/contracts at ₹50.
  • If only 60 shares/contracts are available at ₹50, the order will partially fill with 60 shares.
  • The remaining 40 shares will stay pending until more sellers offer shares at ₹50.
To manage a partial fill, you can wait for more buyers or sellers, modify the price or quantity to improve execution chances, or cancel the remaining order.
