Why has the order been executed at a different price than the limit I specified

Let us understand the reason behind the mismatch between the limit price and the price at which the order was executed, with an example.

Let’s say you place a buy order for a share with the following specifications:-

  1. Current market price: Rs. 105

  2. Limit Price set: Rs.100

Now if the market price suddenly falls from Rs.105 to Rs. 95, then the order will get executed at Rs 95 instead of Rs 100 because it's a better purchase price. This means you will be able to save Rs 5 in buying that share.

If you still feel that the order has not been executed at a better price, please contact our team for further assistance.
