Why was my order executed at a different price than the market price when placed?

Loading...
The execution price of your order may differ from the market price due to the following reasons:
  • Market Fluctuations: Prices can change rapidly during market hours. The price may vary between the time you place the order and when it is executed.
  • Order Type:
    • Market Orders: Executed at the best available market price, prioritizing speed over price. The executed price may differ from the last quoted price.
    • Limit Orders: These execute only at your specified price or better. If the price doesn’t match your limit, the order remains unexecuted.
  • Bid-Ask Spread: The difference between the highest bid price and the lowest ask price can cause variations, especially in less liquid markets.
How to View Order Details:
  1. Go to your Order Screen in the app.
  2. Select the specific order to see the 'Order Type' and 'Order Price.'
  3. The 'Avg Price' represents the exact price at which your order was executed.
