What happened to my GTT order?

A Good Till Triggered (GTT) order remains active until its specified trigger condition is met. Once triggered, it converts into a market or limit order based on your setup.
Your GTT order could remain unexecuted or be cancelled due to the following reasons:
  1. Manual Cancellation: If you chose to cancel the order manually, it will no longer remain active.
  2. Limit Price Not Met: If the GTT is a limit order, it executes only when the market price matches your set limit. If the market doesn’t reach this price, the order remains unexecuted.
  3. Insufficient Funds or Holdings:
    • For buy orders, insufficient funds in your account can prevent execution.
    • For sell orders, not having the required shares or positions in your demat account can lead to non-execution.
  4. Pre-Authorization Required (For Stocks only): For sell GTT orders, pre-authorization using the CDSL TPIN is necessary if DDPI is not active. Without this, the order may not execute.
If you still want to trade at the desired price, you can create a new GTT order with updated conditions.
