Why did my GTT order expire?

Your GTT (Good Till Triggered) order may have expired due to specific validity rules:

1. For Stocks:
  • Validity Period: GTT orders for stocks are valid for up to one year. If the trigger price is not reached within this period, the order expires automatically.
  • Execution Condition: The order executes only if the market price hits the trigger price within one year. Otherwise, it expires.
2. For Futures & Options (F&O) Contracts:
  • Validity Based on Contract Expiry: GTT orders for F&O contracts are valid only until the contract's expiration date.
  • Example: If you placed a GTT order on an F&O contract expiring on 25th May 2024, it would expire on this date if the trigger price wasn’t reached.
If your GTT order has expired, you will need to create a new one at the same price.
