Your GTT (Good Till Triggered) order depends on the direction the price moves after hitting the trigger point. Here's how it works:
Buying Scenario:
- Let's say the Last Traded Price (LTP) is ₹100, and you set a trigger price at ₹120.
- Your order will only be placed if the LTP goes above ₹120.
- If the price just touches ₹120 but doesn't go higher, the order won't be triggered.
Selling Scenario:
- Suppose the LTP is ₹100, and you set a trigger price at ₹80.
- Your order will only be placed if the LTP drops below ₹80.
- If the price only touches ₹80 but doesn't fall further, the order won't be triggered.
If the price only touches the trigger point without moving in the required direction, the order won't be executed.
