UTI Mutual fund launches Small Cap Fund: NFO Closes on Dec 16

UTI Mutual Fund has launched a new fund offer a small-cap fund. UTI Small Cap Fund will open for subscription for 15 days between December 2 and December 16.

The NFO link on Groww will available for investment from  December 2, 2020.

What do you mean by a small-cap fund?

Small-Cap Funds invest a major portion of their investible corpus into equity or equity-related instruments of small-cap companies. 

A small-cap company is a 251st company onwards in terms of full market capitalization.

Investment Strategy

UTI Small Cap Fund is an open-ended small-cap equity scheme. Here’s the indicative asset allocation pattern of the fund:

Benchmark

The performance of the scheme is benchmarked to the total return variant of the Nifty Small Cap 250. The index has 250 companies (companies ranked 251-500) from NIFTY 500.

Mr. Ankit Agarwal

He joined UTI in August 2019 as Fund Manager – Equity with Dept. of Fund Management. He has more than 13 years of experience. Prior to joining UTI he was working with Lehman Brothers and Barclays Wealth. He had been associated with Centrum Broking Ltd. in the capacity of Senior Vice President.
